Thunder Rosa vs. Nyla Rose title match set for AEW Battle of the Belts
The first match is set for AEW’s Battle of the Belts special airing on April 16.
In a bout announced during this week’s Dynamite, Thunder Rosa will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Nyla Rose.
Rosa won the AEW Women’s title in a steel cage match against Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. at the St. Patrick’s Day Slam edition of Dynamite on March 16. The following week, Rose attacked Rosa on the stage as Rosa was being interviewed to set up the feud.
Battle of the Belts will be taped the night before it airs as part of a live Rampage taping on Friday, April 15 at the Curtis Cullwell Center in Garland, Texas.
Rosa vs. Rose is the only match announced for Battle of the Belts to this point. On the first edition of the special in January, three matches aired, including a Sammy Guevara vs. Dustin Rhodes interim TNT title match, a Ricky Starks vs. Matt Sydal FTW title match, and a Baker vs. Riho Women’s title bout.
