TNT Championship qualifying match added to AEW Dynamite
A TNT Championship qualifying match has been added to AEW Dynamite.
Dustin Rhodes will face Jack Perry after Rhodes called out Perry on this week’s AEW Collision. After defeating Johnny TV, Rhodes called out Perry, saying that he was excited to see Perry back in AEW until he beat up Tony Khan. He said that growing up Perry had a silver spoon in his mouth and that he was mediocre because he was a follower, not a leader. Rhodes then announced the match, telling Perry that he would destroy him.
The match was later announced as being a TNT Championship qualifying match, with the winner advancing to the ladder match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door to crown a new champion.
Perry scored the winning fall at AEW Double or Nothing, pinning Bryan Danielson. Since then, he has focused on capturing the TNT title, congratulating Mark Briscoe on his qualifier win on Dynamite but insisting he would be the next champion.
