Tony Khan: It’s like Harley Cameron ‘can do almost anything’
Tony Khan loves having Harley Cameron in AEW for the value she brings on screen, in the locker room, and as a representative of the company.
While speaking with the Battleground Podcast, Khan spoke highly of Cameron as a multi-faceted performer who has worked hard to improve her skills in the ring. He also described Cameron as one of the most respected people in the AEW locker room.
“She’s a great, great talent, absolutely. We’re really lucky to have Harley Cameron in AEW,” Khan said. “She’s an incredibly valuable wrestler and somebody that brings a lot of different skills to AEW, you’re totally, totally right about that. I’m really, really excited about having Harley Cameron competing in AEW, but also all the things she brings to the locker room. She’s one of the most respected people. She’s worked so hard. She hasn’t been wrestling that long. And it’s amazing. She’s gotten very, very good in the ring, but she has so many talents outside the ring too. And it’s like Harley can do almost anything.
“So I’m a big, big fan of Harley Cameron, and I think she brings a really, really valuable perspective to AEW and also somebody that represents AEW really well outside and can give fans an interesting perspective on AEW. Somebody that might be very different than what they imagined a pro wrestler would be like.”
Cameron broke out as a fan favorite in AEW during her feud with Mercedes Mone earlier this year, where she showed her talents as a wrestler, musician, and ventriloquist. Cameron underwent nose surgery in June but was not sidelined for too long.
In the Battleground Podcast interview, Khan noted that he believes the AEW women’s division is having its best-ever year in 2025.
“The wrestling is outstanding top to bottom,” he said.
