Tony Khan comments on Kamille’s AEW absence, hints at possible return

Tony Khan recently addressed Kamille’s AEW status in an interview.
Kamille has been absent from AEW programming since November, last seen unconscious following a backstage attack on AEW Rampage.
Speaking on The Battleground Podcast on Wednesday, Khan was asked about Kamille and stated she would likely return to get payback on her attacker.
Khan said:
“We don’t know who attacked Kamille, and the last time we saw her, she was attacked. We know she had a break up with Mercedes Mone in their business relationship. Mercedes is flourishing since then, she’s done really well on her own, but Kamille, we haven’t seen her since she was attacked.”
“When Kamille does return to get payback for that attack, it’ll be interesting to see who she goes after and what that was.”

During a media event earlier this month promoting Queen of the Ring, Kamille, who plays June Byers in the film, declined to comment on her AEW status. Co-star Damaris Lewis responded instead, saying, ‘My client has chosen not to comment on the matter at hand, but we are open for more questions.”
Kamille hasn’t wrestled for AEW since losing to Kris Statlander on the October 30 AEW Dynamite. The week before, she had defeated Queen Aminata.
