Tony Khan presents Hiroshi Tanahashi with a special gift at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
AEW President Tony Khan recently presented NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi with a custom guitar at the Forbidden Door PPV.
Tanahashi made his AEW return at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden PLE following Shota Umino’s successful IWGP Global title defense against Pac.
Shortly after, AEW’s social media account posted a backstage clip involving Tony Khan and Tanahashi. In the video, Khan presented Tanahashi with a custom guitar ahead of the show to celebrate his career. The short video concluded with both men smiling and posing with the guitar.
AEW inscribed the following words as a tribute to Tanahashi: “Go Ace! Congratulations on your incredible career. From your friends at All Elite Wrestling.”
Later, NJPW also shared the duo’s picture on social media and reflected on the present. “AEW’s CEO gifted Hiroshi Tanahashi a gorgeous custom guitar on the occasion of the fifth annual [Forbidden Door].”
Tanahashi is popular for striking his iconic air guitar pose during his matches, and AEW and Khan paid tribute to that with this special gesture.
