AEW on-screen name believes Tony Khan should be in WON Hall of Fame

Tony Khan AEW Revolution Press Conference

AEW backstage interviewer Alex Marvez recently appeared on Tony Schiavone’s What Happened When podcast, and one of the topics they discussed wa All Elite Wrestling’s owner, Tony Khan.

Marvez, who also has a lengthy career as a sportscaster, journalist and author, believes that Khan should be considered for the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame:

“When does Tony Khan start getting consideration for the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame? How much more does he need to do before we start talking about putting him on the ballot? What he’s been able to accomplish in the 7 years or so of AEW being around? [It’s] Unprecedented for a startup company. And, it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down either.”

Marvez would also reveal who he will be including in his next WON Hall of Fame ballot, noting that it will be a non-WWE ballot as he does not watch the product:

“When I do turn in my ballot still for the Observer Year end awards, and it’s non-WWE ballot I’ll be totally candid with you, because I don’t watch their product…and don’t care to. But, when it came to AEW and all of wrestling; Jon Moxley to me is the most valuable person. He headlined, he drew money, he had incredible matches. If you watch Jon sometimes backstage; I watch him and he can hardly walk it seems. He’s limping around, he can’t be 100% healthy, and he doesn’t complain about it one bit.”
