Tony Schiavone signs multi-year deal with AEW

Tony Schiavone has officially joined AEW.

AEW sent out a press release today announcing that Schiavone has signed a full-time, multi-year agreement with the promotion. It was noted that Schiavone will be part of the AEW broadcast team and will also serve as a senior producer for AEW events.

“Tony ‘The Silver Tongue’ Schiavone was the lead voice of pro wrestling at a time when it was dominating the globe,” Cody Rhodes said. “It’s a pleasure to have him join AEW as a senior producer and member of the broadcast team. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a UGA fan either. I think Tony is one of the most underrated lead men with the narrative of pro wrestling there’s ever been. I’m thrilled to get into the studio with him. Let’s welcome Tony to All Elite Wrestling.”

AEW’s press release stated that Schiavone will continue to work as a producer for the University of Georgia Football and Baseball Network and will still be doing play-by-play for the Gwinnett Stripers.

Schiavone will also continue to work for MLW.

Schiavone made an appearance on this week’s Being the Elite episode and announced that week six of AEW on TNT will take place at Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday, November 6.
