Trios title match part of AEW Dynamite & Collision three-hour block

A bevy of matches and segments have been announced for the upcoming AEW Dynamite & Collision three-hour event this Wednesday.

The Trios titles will be on the line as The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata) will defend against three members of La Faccion Ingobernable. After the latter got the win against MXM on Saturday, Katsuyori Shibata cut a promo saying they won against a “trio of clowns.” He issued the challenge for Kansas City.

Kenny Omega will also be in trios action, teaming up with unlikely partners in Jurassic Express to take on Josh Alexander, Hechicero, and the returning Mark Davis. Jack Perry met Kenny Omega backstage during Collision and told Omega that while he knows he doesn’t trust him, they have the same enemies and he has Omega’s back. Omega responded by reminding Perry that it was him that exacerbated his diverticulitis injuries and while he doesn’t trust him nor does he have his back, he is running low on friends.

Other matches announced include The Hurt Syndicate taking on GOA ahead of a trios match at WrestleDream, Claudio Castagnoli taking on Roderick Strong, Skye Blue taking on Jamie Hayter, and Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia teaming together to take on Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly.

Segments announced for Wednesday include Jon Moxley and Darby Allin having a face-to-face ahead of their I Quit match at WrestleDream. Kris Statlander and Toni Storm will also share “famous last words” before their title match next Saturday.
