TV series starring ex-AEW World Champion renewed for third season
Samoa Joe starring TV series renewed for a brand new season.
Huge news has dropped for the ‘Twisted Metal’ fans. The action-comedy television series starring Stephanie Beatriz, Anthony Mackie, Saylor Curda, AEW star Samoa Joe, and more is officially set to continue. Earlier today on November 18th, Deadline reported that Peacock has renewed the series for a third season.
Former World Champion Samoa Joe stars as Sweet Tooth in the live-action role while Will Arnett provides voice for the character. The news comes just a few months after the second season of the show finished airing on Peacock. It was also noted by Deadline that David Reed would be taking over as the showrunner and a executive producer. Reed is set to replace Michael Jonathan who departed after his work on season one and two of the show.
While the news emerged earlier today, it is still unknown when ‘Twisted Metal’ will begin filming its third season.
Samoa Joe opens up on his retirement plans
A part of the pro-wrestling industry for over two decades, Samoa Joe is now slowly moving toward the dusk of his career. Past his mid-40s, Joe last month appeared for an interview with CBS Sports, where he opened up on his retirement plans.
“You never want to outstay your welcome in this industry, and I have been fortunate that I have been able to be involved with it for over 25 years now. The other thing, too, is that many of us want to preserve what we can of our health for our later years.”
Currently, not busy with his acting duties, Joe is now set to face Adam Page for the World title at Full Gear 2025.
