Vignette for returning star airs on AEW Dynamite

A return vignette for Hook aired during Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite.

Hook, who has been out of the ring since April, has been recovering from a concussion apparently suffered during a Dynamite bout in Baltimore last Spring.

“I’m recovering from a concussion for those who don’t know, but I’ve been out for a while and should be back soon,” Hook said in an interview with this website on Wrestling Observer Live in June.

During the April 9 match, Hook teamed with Samoa Joe against Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. He appeared to throw up twice in the bout and the ensuing post-match angle where Castagnoli delivered a Neutralizer on a chair. Video of Hook vomiting went viral on X.

Though he has not wrestled since April, Hook did take part in an angle at May’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view in a run-in during the Anarchy in the Arena match.
