The Wednesday Night Wars are set to resume this Wednesday.
AEW this evening confirmed that they will be airing Dynamite in its normal time slot. NXT will also return to its normal time slot after moving to Tuesdays for the last two weeks.
Dynamite was originally scheduled for a late one hour edition on midnight Thursday if a NBA game was scheduled. However, with the Denver Nuggets defeating the Los Angeles Clippers today, forcing a game seven on Tuesday, Dynamite will air in its normal timeslot.
Both NXT and AEW have had their schedules change in recent weeks, causing the two shows to air on different nights. NXT has aired for the last two weeks on Tuesdays due to potential NHL coverage on the USA Network. AEW has held shows on different nights of the week on TNT due to NBA playoffs.
Last week’s Dynamite scored 1,016,000 viewers, its highest number since last fall. Tuesday’s NXT rating had 838,000 viewers, up from its normal Wednesday numbers.
