Women’s title eliminator match booked for AEW Battle of the Belts XI

On the road to All In, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm will be in action at Battle of the Belts XI.

AEW has announced that a title eliminator match between Storm and Taya Valkyrie will take place at Battle of the Belts XI this Saturday (July 27). It’s the first match that’s been announced for the Battle of the Belts show. If Valkyrie wins, she earns a future shot at the Women’s World Championship.

Storm confronted Mariah May on Dynamite last night, attempting to get revenge after May’s betrayal. Officials broke up a brawl between the two.

Storm is defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against May at All In on Sunday, August 25. May was Storm’s protege until turning against her in an angle that took place two weeks ago. After defeating Willow Nightingale in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament finals, May attacked Storm and left her bloody.

Battle of the Belts XI begins at 10 p.m. Eastern time this Saturday, airing live on TNT immediately after Collision. Both shows are taking place as part of AEW’s residency at Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
