Young Bucks were ‘very hands-on’ in making AEW Redemption match happen
The Young Bucks were very invested in their plans for AEW Redemption.
Sunday night’s pay-per-view in Montreal saw Matt & Nick Jackson defeat Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay, furthering the build to All In in a couple of different ways. The August 30 event from Wembley Stadium will be headlined by Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Ospreay. There will also be an AEW Tag Team title match with The Young Bucks challenging Adam Copeland & Christian Cage.
In a new video uploaded to the Being The Elite YouTube channel, The Young Bucks documented the events of Redemption. Matt Jackson spoke before the show and shared that he and his brother Nick were “very hands-on” in making their match against Moxley & Ospreay happen.
“We have a big match tonight against Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley. A lot of stuff on the line heading into All In,” Jackson said. “And I don’t like to, you know, give away too many secrets nowadays, but Nick and I were very hands-on and influential with this match happening. So there’s a lot of ownership here at stake personally for me. I really want this to succeed — not that I don’t always want everything to succeed, but even more so today. So, big night tonight. I’m excited. And I just hope that we hit a home run.”
The Bucks defeated Moxley & Ospreay earlier in the night before Omega retained the AEW World Championship over Kevin Knight in Redemption’s main event. To close the show, there was an angle where Ospreay finally split from Moxley and the Death Riders but was still laid out by a One Winged Angel from Omega heading into All In.
Young Bucks ready for All In dream match —
Copeland & Cage retained the AEW Tag Team titles over Claudio Castagnoli & PAC at Redemption. It was then officially confirmed that Copeland & Cage vs. The Young Bucks will take place at All In.
Facing Copeland & Cage has always been a dream for The Young Bucks. After already having wrestled The Hardys and Dudleys, The Bucks will have now faced all three teams from the TLC era.
“Just surreal that that’s finally going to happen,” Matt Jackson said. “Now it’ll be official that we’ve wrestled every team from the TLC era. Always a dream match of ours to wrestle those guys.”
On Dynamite this Wednesday, Renee Paquette will conduct a sit-down interview with Copeland & Cage and The Young Bucks.
