Yuka Sakazaki returning to action on AEW Collision

After a five-month absence, Yuka Sakazaki is returning to the ring.

AEW has announced that Sakazaki will return on this Saturday’s Collision, facing off against Serena Deeb. The two are resuming their rivalry after Sakazaki was forced out of action this April due to a leg injury. The injury happened during a match where Sakazaki defeated Emi Sakura.

“With Yuka Sakazaki cleared to return, The Professor + The Magical Girl are back on course to collide,” Tony Khan tweeted. “They finally fight 1-on-1 on Collision! Yuka Sakazaki vs Serena Deeb on Saturday!”

Starting this year, Sakazaki is now based in the United States after graduating from Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling. She’s made appearances for AEW since 2019.

Collision is being taped at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio tonight before airing in its regular 8-10 p.m. Eastern time slot on TNT this Saturday. Two matches have been confirmed for the show so far:
