Claudio Castagnoli addresses Death Riders’ potential new members in AEW

Claudio Castagnoli | AEW

AEW’s Claudio Castagnoli gave insight on Death Riders potentially adding new members.

In an interview with 107.7 The Bone, Castagnoli addressed the possibility of Death Riders adding new members. He noted that he still views Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia as talents the group helped develop and expressed pride in their growth. He specified that the group is not actively seeking new recruits.

“I kind of still look at (Wheeler) Yuta and (Daniel) Garcia as our, the projects that we bring up and I’m extremely proud of both of them. They’re both amazing talents and they both keep me on my toes. And to answer your question, I don’t look for new talent like that or I don’t look at anybody even when Garcia joined us. We didn’t necessarily go out and scout or whatever you would do or what I mean if somebody needs to find their way to us, they’ll find their way to us.”

Castagnoli also addressed AEW’s current positioning, creative direction with storylines, pay-per-views and overall performance.

“AEW has been on a huge upswing and I’m confident we can hold that momentum and just make it a permanent climb.I feel AEW is just playing to our strengths, and there’s a lot of patience in what we do. There’s the things that take a while to develop. But while something develops, something else is hot or paying off.”

“There’s always such a variety of different styles and characters, or whatever you want in AEW, that there’s always something you can find that corresponds with whatever your preference in wrestling or in life is. And as you see there’s certain characters that might not be on TV every week, but you get so excited when they’re back and AEW wouldn’t be the same without them. I feel like that’s what makes it special.”
