CMLL Arena Mexico show canceled due to earthquake

A 7.2 earthquake that hit Southern Mexico has led to the cancellation of tonight’s CMLL show at Arena Mexico.

The earthquake, which came at about 5:30 p.m. local time, or three hours before the show was to start, had its epicenter on the Pacific coast near Santiago Ixtayutla, in the state of Oaxaca. about 375 miles from Mexico City.

There was concern about the building and the show was canceled so there could be a full inspection.

Tonight’s show was scheduled to feature the finals of a three-week long Parejas Increibles tournament with Ultimo Guerrero & Volador Jr. taking on El Terrible & Rush in the main event, along with a stronger than usual undercard, with Atlantis, Caristico & Diamante Azul vs. Euforia, Gran Guerrero & Kraneo, Soberano Jr. vs. Niebla Roja, Triton, Stigma & Fuego vs. Kawato San, Puma & Tiger, and Stukita & Ultimo Dragoncito vs. Mercurio & Pierrothito.
