1966 – In Kansas City, Kansas; Dick the Bruiser & The Mongolian Stomper 
defeated Bob Geigel & Bob Brown via DQ in three falls.
1967 – In Winnipeg, Manitoba; AWA Champion Verne Gagne beat Mad Dog 
Vachon by dq when Larry Hennig interfered and NWA Junior Heavyweight 
Champion Danny Hodge defeated Bob Boyer.
1973 – In Minneapolis, MN AWA Tag Team Champions Nick Bockwinkel & Ray 
Stevens beat Dusty Rhodes & Dick Murdoch in 2 out of 3 falls and 
Superstar Billy Graham defeated Bill Watts.
1979 – At the Philadelphia Spectrum, Greg Valentine defeated WWF World 
Champion Bob Backlund by referee decision due to blood stoppage, 
Backlund retained the title.
1985 – In Chicago, Illinois; Sgt. Slaughter & Jerry Blackwell & Verne 
Gagne beat Masked Superstar & King Tonga & Sheik Adnan in a steel cage 
match and Larry Hennig & Curt Hennig went to a time limit draw with AWA 
Tag Team Champions Road Warriors.
1986 – In a Pro Wrestling USA show in East Rutherford, NJ; Road Warriors 
beat Ivan Koloff & Nikita Koloff in a steel cage match; Dusty Rhodes 
beat Arn Anderson in a steel cage match; in a Texas Death match Nick 
Bockwinkel beat Larry Zbyszko; AWA Champion Stan Hansen defeated Leon 
White and AWA Tag Team Champions Curt Hennig & Scott Hall beat Nord The 
Barbarian & Boris Zhukov.
1990 – Jimmy Valiant defeated Jerry Lawler for the USWA Unified 
Heavyweight Title in Memphis, Tennessee. On the same show, Brickhouse 
Brown & Sweet Daddy Falcone defeated Rex King & Steve Doll for the USWA 
Tag Team Title.
1995 – A new record for the largest crowd to attend a professional 
wrestling event is set in Pyongyang, North Korea for a two day New Japan 
event held in Pyongyang May Day Stadium as part of the World Wrestling Peace Festival.  Scott Norton drew Shinya Hashimoto in the main event before 150,000 fans.
1997 – Owen Hart defeated Rocky Maivia for the WWF Intercontinental 
Title in Omaha, Nebraska
1999 – Rob Conway defeated Nick Dinsmore for the Ohio Valley Heavyweight 
Title
