Enzo Amore addresses possible Big Cass reunion

Big Cass and Enzo Amore

Former WWE star Enzo Amore addressed the possibility of reuniting with longtime tag team partner Big Cass in wrestling. He also reflected on their enduring friendship and the support Cass provided during the early stages of his career.

During his interview with Emilio Sparks, Amore responded it was not up to him when asked about teaming up with Big Cass in Fourth Rope Wrestling.

“Not the booker”

He further delved on their friendship since NXT, and constantly supporting each other’s careers.

“Big Cass saved my life a million times. Cause when you’re green and you don’t even know what the word mark is, you don’t know what the word green means and you don’t know what the word kayfabe is and you don’t understand any of the language. You never heard of the dirt sheets. You never watched the indies in your life. If you’re me and you break into WWE, you think that you just do it through tough enough. I had no idea how the f*ck you become a wrestler.”

“He’s my best buddy. I mean, we played three fantasy football leagues.”

“He was my homie. And I didn’t have any friends when I got signed to WWE. Nobody wanted to talk to me. People don’t f*cking understand, man. Like, yo, f*ck you, right? I had heat when I walked through the door. Why? Because I could cut a f*cking promo better than everyone. Day one.”

Amore revisited the origins of his ring name, revealing that it was his first choice. He submitted the name repeatedly when the new performers were requested to do so, until it was eventually approved.

“I picked it. I wrote down a list of 20 names. Every time they asked me to submit names, I submitted ‘Enzo Amore’. Within a week of getting there, I got there with like 20, 30 other people. They all got fired. The only people that made it was Charlotte, Baron Corbin and Mojo (Rawley). And I was the last guy to get a name.”

Last month, there were reports on WWE’s eagerness to bring back the tag team. They were cited to have maintained a positive relationship with NXT producers even after their exit.
