Alexander vs. Sabin X-Division title match set for Impact Victory Road

The second match for Impact Wrestling’s Victory Road is set as X-Division Champion Josh Alexander will defend the title against Chris Sabin.

Alexander successfully defended against the returning Jake Crist on Thursday’s show. After the match, Alexander said he wants to be in the conversation for the greatest X-Division Champion which brought out Sabin. Sabin said he’s an eight-time champion and Alexander must beat him to be considered the best ever.

The two aren’t strangers as Alexander’s The North tag team feuded with Sabin’s Motor City Machine Guns over the Tag Team titles. This will be their second-ever singles match with the first coming in December 2020 as Sabin was victorious.

Victory Road will air on Impact Plus on Saturday, September 18th. The show was recently taped in Nashville, Tennessee.

The show will also feature World Champion Christian Cage defending against Ace Austin. Austin defeated Tommy Dreamer Thursday to prevent Dreamer for making the title match a three-way.
