Eli Drake signs multi-year deal with Impact Wrestling

Eli Drake is staying with Impact Wrestling.

Impact announced on Twitter yesterday that Drake had re-signed with the promotion: “BREAKING NEWS: We’re delighted to announce that dummies will be named and shamed long into the future as @TheEliDrake has signed a contract extension with IMPACT Wrestling.”

On last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that it’s a multi-year deal for Drake to remain with Impact. Prior to this new contract, Drake had been signing short-term extensions with the company. The most recent one was set to run through July 31.

Meltzer previously reported that there had been talks about Drake in recent months from the WWE side. Going by the name “Slate Randall,” Drake was part of WWE developmental from 2013-2014.

Drake is a former Impact World and Tag Team Champion. He briefly held the Tag Team titles with Scott Steiner in April after winning them from LAX at Redemption.
