Impact announces four matches for Sunday ‘May Day’ TV taping

Impact Wrestling announced four matches for their Sunday TV taping the day after Saturday’s Under Siege special in Newport, Kentucky.

Titled ‘May Day,’ the taping will also be in Newport at the same venue.

The show will feature a Gauntlet for the Gold match, presumably for an Impact World title shot.

The challenger for that title — Tomohiro Ishii — will team with current champion Josh Alexander against Bullet Club’s Jay White and Chris Bey on Sunday.

The Bullet Club and Honor No More’s recent issues will continue as El Phantasmo will take on Kenny King while former Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers will face former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions Mike Bennett and Matt Taven.

The event is the latest in a busy May for Impact as they prepare for a double-shot in Kissimmee, Florida, on the 13th and 14th as they continue their road to June’s Slammiversary in Nashville, Tennessee.
