TNA wrestler Jake Something injured, likely needs surgery

TNA wrestler Jake Something will be out of action for a while after suffering an undisclosed injury.

Something posted a message on Tuesday informing fans that he is injured and has to “go away for a while to heal up.” He added that he will probably need to undergo surgery.

Last week, Something competed at both nights of TNA’s television tapings that were held in San Antonio. Before his injury, he was scheduled to wrestle for Deadlock Pro Wrestling on January 26, where he would have defended the DPW World Championship against Calvin Tankman in a Last Man Standing match.

“Thank you for all the love and support, especially to @deadlockpro for all their help,” Something wrote. “Please support that company, truly the best.”

Something was set to defend Wrestling Revolver’s Remix Championship against Crash Jaxon in Indianapolis this Friday night. But Revolver announced that, due to Something’s injury, the Remix title has been vacated and a new champion will be crowned at Friday’s show. The promotion wished Something a speedy recovery.

At TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view earlier this month, Something defeated NXT talent Ashante “Thee” Adonis in a pre-show match. Something previously wrestled under the names Cousin Jake and Jake Deaner in TNA.
