Masha Slamovich issues statement regarding domestic abuse allegations

TNA wrestler Masha Slamovich has issued a statement regarding domestic abuse allegations against her made on behalf of a former partner.
TNA announced Tuesday that it was opening an investigation into Slamovich after the abuse allegations surfaced on social media. A friend of her former partner posted images of the partner with bruises allegedly suffered after physical abuse from Slamovich, and the friend also posted screenshots of text messages between Slamovich and the partner alleging emotional abuse.
On Wednesday, Slamovich posted the following statement to social media:
“Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.
I take responsibility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out.
In the time since, I have sought help to reflect on this time and deal with conflict in more mature, healthier, and sustainable ways.
I apologize to those I let down, including my former partner. I hope he is able to heal.
This will be my only statement on the matter.
-Masha”
Slamovich had been set to challenge for the TNA Knockouts title on Friday’s Victory Road special on TNA Plus. No official statement has been made regarding the match for Friday, but TNA has pulled the article promoting the bout from their website.
Additionally, Slamovich has been pulled from two independent bookings in the aftermath of the allegations.
