TNA confirms Elijah suffered injury during WWE NXT match

TNA Wrestling has confirmed that Elijah is injured.
On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, Elijah appeared to injure his arm after attempting an Undertaker-style old school ropewalk during a six-man tag team match with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura against AJ Francis, Trick Williams, and Wes Lee. While he continued the match, he avoided using his arm for the remainder of it.
During the live episode of TNA Impact that aired Friday, June 20 on TNA+ (and will air in its usual timeslot on June 26), it was announced that Elijah is out of action indefinitely.
“Elijah has suffered a torn left triceps. After evaluation, Elijah is officially ruled out of action indefinitely as he begins the recovery and rehabilitation process. Updates on his condition will be provided as they become available,” said Tom Hannifan on the broadcast.
He continued, “We can tell you at this time that Elijah has had successful surgery, and we wish him the best in his road to recovery and his rehabilitation process.”

Bryan Alvarez reported on Elijah’s injury shortly after it happened. Writing in his NXT report this week, he said, “What happened was, he tried the Undertaker old-school and landed really weird on his elbow and appeared to injure it badly. He basically didn’t use his arm for the rest of the match and somehow nobody noticed it. May have been an elbow injury or a torn triceps.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed on Friday that Elijah underwent surgery for the injury.
TNA is back inside the UPMC Events Center in Pittsburgh on Saturday for another set of TV tapings.
