TNA Impact TV taping spoilers: Fallout from Slammiversary

TNA Wrestling taped episodes of Impact on Sunday.

One night after Slammiversary, the promotion returned to the Verdun Arena in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was a big night for hometown favorite PCO. He was married in one segment and also won a casket match in the main event.

TNA TV taping spoilers from July 21, 2024 —

  • Rich Swann defeated Reverso (taped for Xplosion)
    • AJ Francis was on commentary
  • New TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth cut an in-ring promo
    • Loud “you deserve it” chants.
    • Nemeth promised to be a fighting champion.
    • Mustafa Ali interrupts, says he plans on starting a new campaign to make the world title great again and a match is made for next week’s show (although it would be taped later that night).
  • Steve Maclin defeated Cody Deaner
    • Maclin cut an anti-Canada promo before the match. Deaner responded with a pro-Canada promo and then they had a match, which Maclin won.
  • AJ Francis defeated Sami Callihan 
    • Francis picked up the win after a lot of interference by Swann and Josh Bishop
  • Hammerstone & Ash by Elegance defeated Eric Young & Jordynne Grace
    • Hammerstone made Young submit.
  • Josh Alexander in-ring promo
    • Refuses to address what happened at Slammiversary and leaves.
  • Matt Hardy, Chris Bey & Ace Austin defeated JDC, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers
    • Moose ran in and tried to distract the babyfaces but Joe Hendry came out to even up the odds.
  • PCO and Steph De Lander Wedding
    • Rhino served as the best man
    • Xia Brookside was the maid of honor
    • Santino Marella officiated
    • Matt Cardona came out and said he had a gift for the wedding but then joined AJ Francis and Rich Swann in attacking everyone. He tried to leave with SDL but she was mad and wouldn’t leave with him.
  • Tasha Steelz defeated Gisele Shaw (taped for Xplosion)
  • The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel & Wes Lee) defeated Kushida & Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven)
    • Wentz pinned Seven
  • Rosemary defeated Kristara
    • Rosemary put a black rose on Kristara after the match
  • Josh Alexander cut a backstage promo saying he’s the best Canadian wrestler ever and is mad that fans support Nic Nemeth and Joe Hendry instead of him
  • Frankie Kazarian defeated Ryan Nemeth
    • Alexander came out after the match and hit his finisher on Nemeth
  • Joe Hendry is interviewed in the ring by Gia Miler
    • Hendry says that Alexander turned his back on the fans. 
  • Jody Threat defeated Masha Slamovich
  • Mike Santana defeated Campaign Singh
    • Santana cut a promo on Moose after the match. He promised to be the next world champion but before that, he’s going to make Moose suffer. 
  • TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth defeated Mustafa Ali to retain the title
    • After the match, Alexander came out and had a staredown with Nemeth. 
  • TNA Digital Media & International Heavyweight Champion PCO defeated Moose in a Casket Match to retain the title
    • The System came out to attack PCO but Joe Hendry made the save
    • PCO wins in what was said to be a short match. 
    • Fightful is reporting that the casket match will not air on television and was just done for the fans in the building.
