TNA wrestler announces departure from company

Laredo Kid has announced that he is no longer with TNA Wrestling.

The 38-year-old revealed on social media Monday that he has finished up with the company, thanking them for their support and saying he’s “on a new path.”

Laredo Kid wrote:

“Thank you for everything to this great company and family @ThisIsTNA . I appreciate your tremendous support. I hope to return to work in the future. We’re on a new path.”

Laredo hadn’t wrestled for TNA since the company’s TV tapings in Brampton, Ontario, back in May. He primarily wrestles for AAA these days, where he is the World Cruiserweight Champion.

He’s appeared on both AAA x WWE Worlds Collide events since WWE purchased the lucha libre company earlier this year. Laredo competed in the four-way match for the NXT North American title at the June event in Inglewood, California, and later teamed with Octagon Jr., La Parka, and Mascarita Sagrada in a win over the LWO, Lince Dorado, and Mini Abismo Negro at the September 12 event in Las Vegas.
