X-Division number one contender match set for Impact Wrestling

The next contender for the X-Division title will be made on next week’s Impact Wrestling.

Chris Bey, Black Taurus and Ace Austin will battle in a three-way with the winner moving on to face X-Division Champion TJP at a future date. The three earned the shot with their win in a six-man tag team match over Trey Miguel, Willie Mack and Josh Alexander Tuesday.

Bey and Austin are both former X-Division champions while Taurus is relatively new to Impact.

In other action announced for next week:

  • Impact Tag Team Champions Good Brothers and FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) vs. XXXL and Reno Scum: Gallows and Anderson defeated XXXL Tuesday while FinJuice made their debut last week with a win over Scum. This is part of the build to an anticipated Brothers vs. FinJuice title match.
  • Brian Myers vs. Eddie Edwards with Matt Cardona as special referee: Myers was supposed to face Edwards this week, but used his new attorney (“Smart” Mark Sterling of AEW fame) to get him out of it. After Myers defeated Hernandez instead, Impact GM Scott D’Amore had enough and made the match for next week with Cardona as the special ref.
  • On the Behind The Impact pre-show, Rohit Raju will face James Storm.
