Indie wrestler & trainer undergoes irregular heartbeat treatment

53-year-old pro-wrestling veteran Bob Evans has now undergone treatment for his irregular heartbeat.

In a recent update on social media, “Brutal” Bob Evans announced his recent treatment as well as his upcoming long hiatus from pro wrestling.

I’m fine. But…Not how I wanted to spend my last couple of days. Back home now from the hospital. Got the A-Fib that my whole family has. Cardioversion put me back in rhythm but no in-ring wrestling for a while. Seminars are fine to do. Love you all,” Evans wrote.

An industry veteran, Evans’ career began in 1991 and since then he has wrestled 588 matches (as per Cagematch) across different promotions. A part of WWE/WWF for very short stints, Evans once wrestled for the promotion in 1993, before returning again in 2000 and 2002. He has also been a part of the ROH roster for a few years, where he last wrestled in 2018.

Currently working as a trainer and still active in the independent wrestling circuit, Evans’ last match dates to a loss against PPH & Tony Atlas on the March 27 TRP MiddleboroughMania 5 event.

Recovering from the treatment, as of now, there are no confirmed updates on Evans’ return.
