El Hijo del Vikingo pulled from PROGRESS Wrestling debut

Though El Hijo del Vikingo has returned from injury, he will not be making his United Kingdom debut this weekend.

Vikingo was supposed to debut for PROGRESS Wrestling in a match against Cara Noir in London on November 24, but the promotion has announced that Vikingo will no longer be appearing. PROGRESS is working to book Vikingo for a new date and hopes to have him debut soon.

“El Hijo Del Vikingo injury update: Despite recovering he will not be ready to compete to the high level he would want for a European debut,” PROGRESS wrote. “We are working on a new date with Vikingo and hope to see him very soon in a PROGRESS ring, hopefully before year end.”

After spending seven months out of action following knee surgery, Vikingo returned in September but suffered another injury at a TNA Wrestling television taping on October 27. He avoided major injury but expected to miss a few weeks. Vikingo then made his return to the ring at an event for Lucha Libre AAA on November 17.
