GCW announces Joey Janela 20th anniversary show
Game Changer Wrestling is celebrating Joey Janela with a 20 anniversary show this summer.
It was announced today that GCW will hold a “20 Years of Bad Boy” event in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Thursday, August 6. Janela made his debut on the New Jersey indies in 2006 and has been one of the most prominent indie names of the past decade, along with making it to television for a run in AEW at the start of the promotion.
“20 YEARS IN THE GAME! My 20th anniversary show takes place in Asbury at @HOIAsburyPark on August 6th for @GCWrestling_,” Janela wrote. “Greatest rivals! New Dreamatches! My New Favorites! Class Legends! Tickets on sale Friday and will SELL OUT!”
The show is set to air live on TrilerTV+. No matches have been announced yet.
Since 2017, Janela has collaborated with GCW on Spring Break events during WrestleMania week. They’ve become one of the biggest indie shows of the year, with the 2026 version having been headlined by Janela losing to Brodie Lee Jr. in what was the 14-year-old Lee’s official singles debut.
