Hijo de LA Park replacing Jason Cade in MLW Middleweight title match

Another injury has shaken up Friday’s MLW Middleweight Championship match.

MLW has announced that Jason Cade is out of Friday’s four-way ladder match for the vacant Middleweight title due to suffering a broken ankle. Cade will be replaced by Hijo de LA Park, with the ladder match now being Dezmond Xavier vs. Kotto Brazil vs. Andrew Everett vs. Hijo de LA Park to decide the new champion.

The ladder match was originally supposed to be MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) defending the Middleweight title against Brazil, Cade, and Marko Stunt. Stunt had to be pulled from it after suffering a broken leg, and the title was vacated due to MJF not being cleared to return in time after suffering a fractured elbow.

Xavier vs. Brazil vs. Everett vs. Hijo de LA Park will be airing as part of MLW’s live special on beIN Sports at 8 p.m. Eastern time this Friday night. Rush vs. Rich Swann and Dragon Lee vs. DJZ are also set for the hour-long special.

Friday’s MLW show is taking place at the Scottish Rite Temple in Miami, Florida. It will include other matches that are being taped for future MLW Fusion episodes, and MLW also has television tapings at the venue this Thursday.
