Joey Janela & Megan Bayne pull out of curating upcoming PRODUCE event
Just days before the upcoming PRODUCE Wrestling event, Joey Janela has announced finishing his ties with the promotion.
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Janela announced that the PRODUCE show curated by him and his partner Megan Bayne will no longer take place and instead a new curator would be announced.
“Hello I regret to inform everyone that @meganbayne & Myself will no longer be curating or appearing at the event on September 13th in Jersey City for [PRODUCE By Orange Crush]. A new curator will be appointed for the event & I wish everyone at produce continued success! Support Independent Wrestling!” Janela wrote.
Later, Janela shared another status, where he claimed that he will no longer be working for or with PRODUCE Wrestling.
As questions were raised online regarding Janela’s fallout with the promotion, the indie wrestling veteran shared multiple other posts, where he clarified what went wrong.
“Of course I’m gonna curse at this dude and call him names, I’m an independent wrestler of 20 years & nobody has EVER talked to me like this regarding a booking. I have over 100 screenshots of what’s been said over the last 2 days but I’m not posting all of them,” Janela added. “Also the building pioneer works will never have him back because the way he’s spoken to them over the past couple days whether in person or via text.“
Janela also shared how he was blamed for missing a flight to the show, where in reality he claimed that it was canceled and attached screenshots of his text with Adam [Orange Crush]. Unable to take the disrespect, Janela decided to part ways with the promotion along with his partner, Megan Bayne.

In a series of Tweets, Janela opened up and explained in detail what went wrong as his relationship with Adam and PRODUCE Wrestling came to an end.
“Some of the biggest losers on social media are vague posting clowns so I’d like to provide some context for the falling out between Me and Adam (orange crush)
“Adam has to learn how to speak to people, he was a great friend of mine also just a great guy but somewhere within the last year or 2 that changed. He’s become someone that has been absolutely unhinged, deplorable and embarrassing to others around him including his friends. Many wrestlers have had conversations with me & others regarding his delusional behavior and way he talks down to them,” Janela added.
“Yesterday I woke up at 4:30 am to catch a normal flight to JFK. When I went to check in I saw the flight was cancelled. Figuring Brett was asleep and Adam was up on drugs, I hit him up since I was heading to his show to figure out new flight options. I hit him up and we quickly realized nothing in the tri-state was available.
“He asked me if I could fly to midway to find something but everything was booked there too, he sent me a flight which I thought was Minneapolis-Chicago-connection- Philadelphia then a uber from Philly to NYC, in which I replied ‘I ain’t doing all that'” Janela said.
PRODUCE Wrestling also shared their statement and addressed the situation in a subtle manner, without taking any names. “It’s been a long 24 hours. Some people don’t like us because we have a sharp tongue, short fuse and speak truth to power. But we do this because we love the people who make the business possible. The talent and crew. Even if they dont always love us haha. Thank you everyone for making last night possible. It was our proudest moment in this business. Till the wheels fall off.”
