Joey Ryan to undergo surgery for pectoral injury

Joey Ryan will officially be undergoing surgery for his pectoral injury.

Ryan posted an injury update today where he revealed the results of the MRI that he underwent: “The MRI revealed that I have an acute tear of the left pectoral major including a high-grade tear of the clavicular head at the myotendinous junction and a high-grade intratendinous tear of the sternal head with retraction and hemorrhage into the muscle belly. Disorganized fibers of the muscle-tendon tear identified within the deltopectoral groove.

“The doctor is recommending surgery and I’m to call the surgeon on Monday or Tuesday to set up an appointment to see them.

“A time table on recovery will be determined by the surgeon.”

Ryan appeared at last week’s MLW television tapings with his arm in a sling and revealed that he suffered a suspected torn pectoral muscle when wrestling in Austin, Texas the night before. Despite the injury, Ryan still teamed with Hornswoggle against The Dirty Blondes at the MLW tapings.
