Matt Hardy appears, doesn’t wrestle at House of Hardcore last night

Matt Hardy did not wrestle at the House of Hardcore show last night in Metuchen, New Jersey. Hardy was scheduled to face Tommy Dreamer in the main event, but that was changed to Dreamer & Bully Ray vs. The Spirit Squad. The Sami Callihan vs. Bully Ray match was also changed to Callihan vs. Bobby Fish.

The WWE allowed the Hardys to fulfill some dates they agreed upon, although at first they were told they couldn’t, but WWE insisted on no physicality for them at any of the shows, so they will likely be at the House of Hardcore show in Philadelphia tonight but unable to do any semblance of a main event match.

The Hardys vs. Dreamer & Bully Ray was originally set to be the main event at the 2300 Arena. Dreamer was looking to get some major surprise main event replacements for them.

Nothing was announced about Matt Hardy not wrestling at the start of last night’s show. Dreamer did announce at the start that Matt Riddle had double-booked himself and wouldn’t be appearing. Riddle worked for PWG last night and then flew to New York to work for EVOLVE tonight.
