Willow Nightingale to defend AEW TBS title at Wrestle Queendom

Willow Nightingale

Pro Wrestling EVE has announced that another AEW champion will defend her title at Wrestle Queendom this weekend.

EVE broke the news on social media this afternoon that Willow Nightingale would be defending the TBS Championship this Sunday against Nina Samuels. They were sure to thank AEW CEO Tony Khan and AEW “for making this happen.”

Nightingale won the TBS Championship from Mercedes Mone at New Year’s Smash on December 31, 2025. She has defended the title twice since then. The first defense was against Julia Hart on Collision in January. The second was in a four-way against Marina Shafir, Megan Bayne, and Mina Shirakawa on Dynamite in February.

Samuels, age 37, made her pro debut in 2014 and spent four years in the WWE developmental program in NXT UK. She has never wrestled Nightingale before, but has had one match in AEW, teaming with Kid Lykos II in a loss to Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway in a mixed tag team match on Collision in August of 2024.
