Jacy Jayne fuels call-up speculation after WWE NXT loss
Jacy Jayne seemed to be saying goodbye to NXT following the first week of the brand’s Revenge special.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe and Jayne are being heavily discussed for main roster call-ups. They were also impressed by Sol Ruca’s performance at SNME in December. Additionally, Joe Hendry is also due for a call-up.
Following this week’s edition of NXT, Jayne was spotted crying and blowing kisses to the crowd as if bidding farewell. At the special NXT Revenge episode she faced Lola Vice in a rematch for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Jayne already made her main roster debut on SmackDown in August 2022 alongside Gigi Dolin. They participated in the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. Despite the win they were forced to withdraw after Dolin suffered a concussion. They were expected to appear on Raw that following week but the plans were altered.
Dolin and Jayne split up as a tag team and feuded with each other in the following year. In the aftermath of Dolin’s WWE exit, Jayne was pushed to the NXT Women’s Championship picture in 2025. She won her first reign in May 2025 and it spanned for 150 days, meanwhile, her second run with the title ended at NXT Stand & Deliver last weekend.
During NXT and TNA’s crossover feuds, Jayne won the TNA Knockouts Title from Masha Slamovich in a Winner Take All match on July 20, 2025.
