Maxxine Dupri opens up about dealing with social media hate
Maxxine Dupri has opened up about the social media hate and criticism she faces, and how she’s managed to overcome it.
Appearing on a new episode of Impaulsive, Dupri was asked what the hardest part of wrestling is for her. Traveling and being away from home is one of her biggest challenges. Working in the ring also comes with its difficulties, but that’s the job Dupri signed up for. Social media criticism sometimes gets to Dupri — and she’s taken the step to get off of X/Twitter entirely.
“I signed up to learn this new craft and try new moves and do it in front of the world and it’s fun. So I do enjoy that,” she said. “The part that actually is like — it’s still challenging, but the part that’s truly hard is like mentally being away from home.
“You’re probably, like, so numb to this, but for me, sometimes if I catch a glimpse of something online, I don’t do well with that. So that’s why I got to stay off X.”
Dupri said she is still on Instagram and TikTok and finds those platforms to be kinder than X.
“Anything they say about you, I promise you I’ve thought about myself already. I don’t need you to tell me,” she said. “And I also think, like, I’ve never said anything outright mean about another person that wasn’t coming from a place of my own insecurity.”
The Raw star proved her worth during her rivalry with Becky Lynch last year. During the feud, Dupri notched the first title win of her WWE career, defeating Lynch in November 2025 to capture the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, a title she held for nearly 50 days.
WWE star Nattie was instrumental in Dupri’s rise behind the scenes and on screen. Their alliance has since exploded into a feud between the two after Nattie’s heel turn.
