AAA Mega Championship match confirmed for Triplemania 34
Dominik Mysterio is set to defend his AAA Mega Championship on the upcoming edition of Triplemania 34.
During week three of Verano de Escandalo on August 7, 2026, it was announced that Dominik Mysterio will defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34. As of now, a date for the title match has not been announced.
Mysterio and El Grande Americano teamed up to face Perros Del Mal on Week 1 of Verano de Escandalo. However, toward the closing moments, Mysterio betrayed Americano and joined forces with Dorian Roldan, resulting in Perros Del Mal picking up the win.
On the August 7 episode, Mysterio also sat down for an interview with El Grande’s real-life girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte, where he addressed his upcoming title match at Triplemania 34. Mysterio also opened up and explained his reasons behind betraying El Grande Americano. Liv Morgan also made an appearance toward the closing moments of the Mysterio-Bazarte interview.
It was also announced by AAA that both Mysterio and Americano are set to be in the middle building for next week’s episode of AAA on Fox.
AAA Triplemania 34 is scheduled to be a two-night event. It will commence on September 11, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada, while Night 2 will take place on September 13 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.
