CMLL, NJPW announce Lucha Kingdom for November
Tonight, Arena Mexico and CMLL hosted stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling for Fantastica Mania 2026. And in November, they’re going to bring them back again.
During tonight’s show, CMLL aired a video hyping up a new show with NJPW entitled Lucha Kingdom, airing at 5 p.m. in Arena Mexico on Monday, November 16.
The video includes a message in Spanish which, according to Google translate, says this:
“Two cultures. Two traditions. One shared spirit. And in professional wrestling, that bond has transcended borders. A historical relationship strengthened by respect. That alliance is writing a new chapter. The greatness of Mexico. The spirit of Japan. A single kingdom.”
NJPW and CMLL have been running Fantastica Mania shows together in Japan since 2011. They expanded to the United Kingdom and Mexico in 2023, and the United States in 2024.
According the Luchablog account on social media, the CMLL announcers were “pushing that Lucha Kingdom is specifically a CMLL versus NJPW show, promotion vs promotion.”
