CMLL wrestler announces in-ring return in February after two eye surgeries

La Catalina CMLL

Away from in-ring action for nearly a month, CMLL’s La Catalina has now announced her in-ring return.

Last year, in late 2025, CMLL wrestler Catalina stepped away from in-ring competition to undergo two separate eye surgeries. This sidelined her from taking part in wrestling matches and required her to rest.

The 25-year-old uploaded an update on Facebook on Tuesday, January 20th, where she opened up about her surgeries and clearance for in-ring return in February 2026 (translation provided by Fightful’s Luis Pulido).

For those who are commenting and sending angry messages with me because I have not appeared in several shows…I had two surgeries on my eyes in December. I just got medically cleared for FEBRUARY. My eyes are recovering very well, thank God.”

While still a few weeks to go for her comeback, Catalina last wrestled on the 4th December edition of Invasion Indy against Olympia & Zeuxis. An active part of CMLL and the Mexican independent scene, she has also been a part of several ROH (Ring of Honor) matches.
