Cruiserweight title match set for next AAA on Fox episode
A Cruiserweight championship match has been announced for the next AAA on Fox episode.
For several weeks now, WWE’s Rey Fenix has been in a feud with Laredo Kid for his AAA Cruiserweight championship.
Now, finally, after weeks of feuding, a title match has been set between the two. Next week on the May 23, 2026 episode of AAA on Fox, Fenix will face Kid for the Cruiserweight title.
Kid has held the championship since December 2024. Fenix is himself a former AAA World Cruiserweight Champion and held the belt for over 390 days before vacating the title.
A few weeks ago, on the May 5, 2026, episode of AAA on Fox, Fenix had defeated Kid in a non-title match, prompting the promotion to schedule the two this time with the title on the line.
Chasing the Cruiserweight title on AAA, Fenix had recently also expressed his desire to go after his brother Penta’s Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW.
