New AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions crowned
Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana are the new AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions following Saturday’s AAA on Fox.
Vice and Iguana faced off against Ethan Page and La Hiedra for the titles as Chelsea Green was ruled out of action due to an injury and was replaced. Hiedra is a former partner of Iguana and actually teamed with him against Vice in the past. Vice defeated Hiedra in a number one contender’s match last month to earn a Reina de Reinas title match.
In a closely fought match, Hiedra accidentally knocked out Page, followed by Vice hitting her finishing move on the 28-year-old to cover her for the victory and win the titles.
This marked Vice’s first championship win across WWE and AAA and ends the 98-day run for Page and Green/Hiedra.
Iguana and Vice embraced and celebrated their win in the middle of the ring as Page stood shocked at ringside. The duo also celebrated their title win with The Undertaker as a photo was shared on social media.
