Penta to award ceremonial sword to AAA Rey de Reyes winner

Penta

Penta has finally made his much-awaited AAA announcement: that he will present a ceremonial sword to the 2026 AAA Rey de Reyes winner.

On Saturday’s episode of Lucha Libre AAA on Fox in Latin America, the announcement was made and then later uploaded as a vignette on social media.

Penta reflected on his history as a previous AAA Rey de Reyes winner before opening up on awarding the respected sword to his year’s winner:

“Puebla has a very special place in my heart. Every time I’ve competed in Puebla, the people have welcomed me with open arms. What do you think of this? On March 14th, I will personally, I will be in Puebla to personally hand the sword to the Rey de Reyes. So, my people in Puebla, I’ll see it all with you, March 14th.”

Almost a decade ago, in 2016, Penta won the Rey de Reyes when he defeated La Parka and Villano IV.

He also noted that there will be four Fatal Four-Way matches with the winners clashing against each other for a shot at the AAA Mega Championship.
