Chris DeJoseph joins MLW as co-executive producer

Ahead of their first pay-per-view, MLW has confirmed a behind-the-scenes addition to the company.

It was announced via Sports Illustrated today that Chris DeJoseph has joined MLW as a co-executive producer. DeJoseph was formerly an executive producer for Lucha Underground and was also part of the WWE writing team for six years during his career.

“Since the last season of Lucha Underground, I’ve had an itch to get back in the game,” DeJoseph told Sports Illustrated. “I’ve been watching what they’ve been doing and the steps they are taking to keep building, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with MLW.”

The fourth season of Lucha Underground finished airing in November 2018, with no official announcement ever being made about its status.

DeJoseph’s first day on the job for MLW will be at Saturday Night SuperFight. The PPV is taking place at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois this Saturday. It will be headlined by MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu defending his title against LA Park in a no DQ match.
