MLW crowns inaugural Southern Crown Champion on Fusion 4th of July special

Trevor Lee is the inaugural MLW Southern Crown Champion.

Lee won the Bunkhouse Stampede match on the special July 4 edition of MLW Fusion, pinning Andrew Everett with a double foot stomp to win the title.

Also entered in the match were Festus (Doc Gallows’ previous WWE gimmick), Jesus Rodriguez, Matthew Justice, The Beastman, Josh Bishop, Ikuro Kwon, Diego Hill, and actor Paul Walter Hauser.

With the win, Lee adds his first MLW title to his resume that includes one reign as NXT North American Champion, a brief run with the Million Dollar Championship, three runs with the TNA X-Division Championship, and one reign as TNA Tag Team Champion alongside Brian Myers.

Lee debuted for MLW at the December 5, 2024 tapings at the Melrose Ballroom in New York, losing to Mistico. He returned for the following month’s Battle Riot event in Florida as well.
