Satoshi Kojima to face Tom Lawlor at MLW One-Shot

NJPW’s Satoshi Kojima now has an opponent for his MLW return match.

It was announced today that Kojima will face “Filthy” Tom Lawlor at MLW One-Shot on Thursday, December 7. The show is taking place from the Melrose Ballroom in New York City and will air live on Fite+.

This is Kojima’s first MLW match in more than 20 years. During the early 2000s, Kojima wrestled for the first iteration of MLW. He was the second-ever MLW World Heavyweight Champion.

Dave Meltzer reports that Kojima is scheduled to be a semi-regular for MLW going forward and this match isn’t a one-time deal.

Lawlor is also a former MLW World Heavyweight Champion, holding the title in 2019. He recently returned to MLW for the first time since 2021.

There have now been two matches announced for the One-Shot event. The show will also feature the MLW debut of Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling star Miyu Yamashita.
