Teddy Hart vs. Austin Aries added to MLW Saturday Night SuperFight
Teddy Hart and Austin Aries are officially set to face off at MLW’s first pay-per-view.
MLW announced today that Hart will defend his Middleweight Championship against Aries at Saturday Night SuperFight. The PPV is taking place at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois on Saturday, November 2.
The build to Aries challenging for the Middleweight title began when he returned to MLW in June.
At last month’s War Chamber television tapings, there was an angle where Aries attacked Hart while The Hart Foundation (Hart & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) were challenging for the MLW Tag Team titles in a two-out-of-three falls match. The Dynasty (MJF & Richard Holliday) retained their titles when Hart got counted out in the third fall due to Aries’ attack.
Aries defeated The Hart Foundation’s Brian Pillman Jr. in the main event of last weekend’s MLW Fusion episode. Aries called out Hart after the match and they brawled to close the episode.
Saturday Night SuperFight will be available via traditional PPV and Fite TV. Here’s the updated card for the show:
- MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu defending against LA Park in a no DQ match
- MLW Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart defending against Austin Aries
- Tom Lawlor vs. Timothy Thatcher
- MLW National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone defending against Davey Boy Smith Jr.
