Dakota Ditcheva vs Denise Kielholtz Preview and Breakdown PFL New York
Dakota Ditcheva makes her return to the PFL cage tonight to face Denise Kielholtz at PFL New York. I don’t see how Kielholtz gets a win here, and unfortunately it feels like this is a way to showcase Ditcheva in a big show in the Big Apple.
For me, Ditcheva will probably be winning this before the third round, with the TKO/KO coming through her body shots, which she is going to try and throw at volume.

The body attack is the entire fight
You just need to look at how Ditcheva has won her last four fights to see what her gameplan will be here: Lisa Mauldin, knee to the body plus punches. Chelsea Hackett, punch to the body. Jena Bishop, front kick to the body and a punch. Taila Santos, punches to the body in round two to win the 2024 tournament. Four finishes, one target.
Ditcheva is also bringing a five-inch height edge and a four-inch reach edge to a woman who tends to do her best work at half that range, so this is all leaning towards Dakota getting the W.

Rust is the potential difference maker
Ditcheva has been out of action for 377 days now after breaking her hand against Inaba. A second hand injury then scrapped this fight originally for Dubai back in February. One fight in 18 months for a pressure fighter whose game runs on volume and forward momentum is a tough ask, but I still see the English fighter pulling it off.
Prediction: Ditcheva by TKO, round two with strikes the body. But, if Ditcheva can’t establish range in the opening few minutes, then Kielholtz’s clinch could turn this into a very awkward 15 minutes.
