AEW star returns from injury, makes surprise appearance at NJPW Dominion
An AEW star returned from injury at NJPW Dominion and made it clear what he wanted next.
Gabe Kidd returned from injury on Sunday, attacking Shota Umino after he won the IWGP Global title in a three-way match involving Drilla Moloney and Andrade el Idolo. He cut an obscenity-laced promo, telling Umino was never a member of the Death Riders and would take the IWGP Global title when he was ready.
Drilla Moloney, who lost the match, stood on the entranceway but wasn’t sure of what to make of the situation. Kidd told him to ignore the crowd, he used to be cheered like that and now they hate him.
He ended the promo saying dropping the f-bomb on both WWE and NJPW, saying he was in AEW where the best wrestle. He then spat at Hiroshi Tanahashi, who was doing commentary at ringside, and also on the NJPW lion mark before finally making his exit.
Kidd injured his shoulder at AEW Dynasty back in April during a match for the AEW Trios titles. In the time since, the rest of the Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors) have feuded with the Young Bucks and Cope & Cage, attacking the latter two right after they won the AEW Tag Team titles at Double or Nothing.
