IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone signs with UTA talent agency

IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone has joined one of the top talent agencies in the world.

It was announced via Variety today that Mone (real name Mercedes Varnado) has signed with United Talent Agency for representation in all areas. UTA will help Mone “secure new opportunities across film, television, theater and more.”

Variety wrote that Mone will continue to be represented by her advocate Keven Undergaro.

After walking out of WWE last May, the former Sasha Banks made her return to pro wrestling when she appeared at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. Mone defeated Kairi at Battle in the Valley last weekend to win the IWGP Women’s Championship.

Last month, it was announced that Mone will have a role in the upcoming action-thriller film “The Collective.” She’s previously appeared on multiple episodes of “The Mandalorian” on Disney Plus, playing the character Koska Reeves. “The Mandalorian” is a Star Wars series.

Mone chronicled her NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom in a mini-documentary that was released on her new YouTube channel on February 18:
